Just dropped into the case is a 1929 $50 Federal Reserve Bank Note – San Francisco (L) and this one isn’t your average sleepy banknote your grandpa hid in a Bible.

This thing has ATTITUDE.

🔥 Low Serial Number:
L00001656A
Yeah… that’s four zeros before anything interesting happens. Early print run territory. Collectors chase these like raccoons chase shiny objects.

🔥 MULE NOTE:
Flip it over and boom — Back Plate #55.
That means the Bureau of Engraving and Printing grabbed an older plate and smashed it together with the newer design. Currency collectors call these “mules” because the government basically cross-bred two printings like a stubborn farm animal.

Translation: scarcer and more collectible.

🔥 San Francisco District:
The L district always gets a little extra love from collectors. West Coast notes just hit different.
